Victor
March 10, 2024
My bother Victor was born on this day, March 10, 1943. Victor, my kid brother, died over two years ago, and I miss him. I miss his gentleness, his thoughtfulness, his wacky sense of humor, his outrageous puns, and the superb pianist, musician, and composer that he was.
And I miss making music with Victor. From the time he was a teenager and I in my early twenties, we performed often, occasionally made records, and sometimes just played together for our own enjoyment. A special delight was performing Victor’s compositions with him- works that were sometimes oddly funny, sometimes deeply serious, just like my brother himself. In all those years we never once argued in rehearsal- a testament to the love and respect we had for each other and for the music.
Happy birthday, dear brother.

Such beautiful playing and such a lovely way to remember Victor. Thank you, Arnold.
A beautiful rendition of Aaron’s work. He was incomparable in accessing various moods. His sometime student Harold Brown seldom strayed from melancholy. [this from his memorial concert:https://www.renaissancechorus.org/DemoTrack06.mp3%5D
We hope this will be republished.
Beautiful, Arnold! I remember meeting Victor many, many years ago in your apartment. I remember being in awe of him. May he rest in peace.
A sweet tribute. Beautiful music. Thank you!
Touching testament, lovely performance. A very beautiful and moving tribute. Thank you.
Thank you. My late brother’s birthday was also in March. He was 10 years older than I am, and would be 102 now, and died at 87 so unlike your brother, he did live a full life. I often have family questions I want to ask him. I can only imagine your sadness at losing him so early.
Loved it. Thank you so much.
Thank you Arnold….the music you made together was magnificent. And you continue. With gratitude…and may his memory always be a blessing to all…..
What beautiful and unique music you made together. Thank you for sharing such tender feelings ??
This is a touching tribute to your brother. Hope the fond memories and the beautiful music you and Victor made together bring you joy and comfort, Arnold!
My deep sympathies to you for the loss of your brother. Thank you for including the music clips, which are really wonderful.

Dein Peter
A loving memory For you Arnold. Lucky to have a sweet brother!
I remember sitting at lunch with Victor! All best,
Wendy
So beautiful and so touching, Arnold. How very blessed you both were to have each other in this life and in all the wonderful ways that that expressed itself!

What beautiful playing and wonderful artistry! Thank you for introducing me to all of this fantastic music so expertly performed.
Arnold,
I listened to you collaborations and i loved listening to you and Victor playing together. I must say I had forgotten how much he resembled your mother when I see his face I see both Aunt Pearl and Grandma I miss them both. They were a hoot so different and yet so similar kind of like you and Victor.
Miss You,
Debbie
